Golgen Circle, also known as Golden Circle, is an extremely famous tourist spot in Iceland that spans across an area of 300 kilometers looping across Reykjavik into the middle of Iceland. The route features some of the most spectacular sights of the country including the three prominent stops: Pingvellir, Gullfoss waterfall and Haukadalur valley that contains the Strokkur and Geysir geysers. Geysir is a naturally occurring hot spring and one of the most famous highlights of the country. The Golden Circle
The Golden Circle is a beautiful route that consists of myriads of wonderful landscapes and sights. You will see numerous fantastic sights there including the lava field located in the Blue Mountain; this is the spot from which Iceland was initially created. There is a fascinating lava tube built underground that attracts the tourists a lot towards the Golden Circle. Another striking sight on this route is the Gullfoss which is a beautiful waterfall. The Pingvellir National Park is another amazing stop on this route that comprises of plenty of panoramic views. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Geysir on the Golden Circle
Geysir is amongst the most spectacular and prominent naturally occurring attractions of the country. It is located on the top of a wide geothermal field that is bubbling with steam and mud of various colors all the time. Though the bubbling water and mud is very hot and dangerous, but looks beautiful from a distance. The Geysir is a geyser located in this spot, and it is the first original geyser in the world; all the other geysers in the world are named after this particular one.
