Acrylic Fridge Magnet of Moraine Lake
Shown on the fridge magnet is a panorama of the magnificent Moraine Lake in Banff National Park. Banff National Park is located on the outskirts of the village of Lake Louise in Alberta, Canada. The magnet is a fitting and elegant keepsake of this lake. Not only does it show a lovely scene of the lake, but it will also remind you of the time you spent at the park.
The Beautiful Lake Moraine
The glaciers in the stunning mountains above Moraine feed Lake Moraine. The main water sources of the lake are Fay Glacier and Larch Creek. Moraine has a total surface area of 0.5 km2 and is located at a height of 1885m. Moraine Lake is normally not full of water and reaches its crest by the end of June, when the glaciers above it start melting. When the lake is full, it shows a very beautiful shade of blue; tourists especially visit the lake in summers to witness that distinct blue tone of the lake's water.
Hiking Trails around Moraine Lake
There are several hiking trails in the region surrounding Lake Moraine. One of the prominent walking and hiking tracks is the Rockpile Trail, which is around 300m long and experiences an elevation change of around 79 ft. The view of Moraine from the top of Rockpile is exquisite and very fascinating. If you are visiting Lake Moraine for the first time, it will be a good idea to hire a tour guide who could take you on different trails.
