Description

Welcome to Africa! This Vinyl Fridge Magnet Does Nothing "Butt" Welcome

Since the fall of Apartheid in the early 1990s and especially since the success of the World Cup, South Africa has increasingly welcomed visitors from around the world. It is one of the wealthiest nations in Africa and offers a well-developed infrastructure to aid visitors in enjoying themselves. Of course, one of the most popular reasons for visiting Africa is to go on a traditional safari and see wildlife like the zebra in this souvenir fridge magnet. In this respect, South Africa does not disappoint. The best place to see wildlife like elephants, lions, zebras and antelope in their natural habitats in the nation is Kruger National Park on the border with Mozambique. Visitors to Kruger NP can take 'safari' trips that bring them out into the bush and up close to incredible wildlife.

Other Places to See Wildlife on the African Continent

Africa is rich in wildlife (not to mention cultural history and other natural beauty) which can be seen in parks and reserves around the continent. After South Africa, one of the most popular destinations is Kenya, which has a number of large, well-maintained parks that welcome international visitors for a classic safari experience. In Botswana, visitors to the swamps of the Okavango Delta are astonished by the wide variety of birds and wildlife (including hippos!). The deserts of southern Africa are strikingly beautiful, but - of course - are also harsh. Visitors can travel tot he Kalahari in Botswana, Namibia and South Africa as well as the stunning coastal wastelands of Namibia's Namib Desert. In Madagascar, tourists can see numerous species of lemurs only found on the island and in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the national parks harbor the last populations of wild Mountain Gorillas.
