The Beauty Of The Old City Of Jerusalem Pictured On An Acrylic Fridge Magnet

One of the beautiful archways in the old city of Jerusalem is captured on this acrylic fridge magnet from the catalogues of World Wide Gifts. Lying within the modern city of Jerusalem is the walled Old City, an area of 0.35 square miles which formed the original city and which is home to many important religious sites such as 'The Temple Mount' and 'The Dome of the Rock'. The Old City is split into four uneven quarters; the Muslim Quarter, the Armenian Quarter, the Jewish Quarter, and the Christian Quarter. With its many historic buildings, and sites of religious significance, Jerusalem Old City was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1981.

The Sights And Sounds Of Israel

Israel is a diverse place to visit with its beaches, bustling cities, and historic religious sites. Culturally it has the highest number of museums per capita in the world. The western shore of the Dead Sea lies within Israel. Here people come in the hope of easing the pain of their ailments due to the high salt content. This same salt content prevents the existence of any life forms in the body of water, hence the name. This amazing place is also the lowest land mass on earth; four hundred and seventeen feet below sea level. For a less natural, but historic, experience the first railway station in Jerusalem has been refurbished and opened to the public. As well as some of the old engines and wagons, bringing out the history of the building, there is also a modern feel with restaurants and a pub amongst the many amenities. This is just one of the beautiful places in Jerusalem to visit as can be seen from the picture of the Old City on our acrylic fridge magnet.
