Description

Speaking to Our Calmer Selves

If you've paid a visit to Quilotoa Lake you are sure to find this magnet souvenir from Ecuador to be a marvelous representation of it. It is the sort of souvenir that is great for telling a story about your personal experiences regarding the site in question. Because of a lack of people on the frame, it looks isolated with a very refreshing disposition that speaks to our calmer more reposed selves, the part of each and every one of who hungers for peace of mind and a contemplative nature that leaves us wanting more out of life. Like on a hot sunny day when you look at an advertisement for coke and you see the condensation on the side of the bottle and you know that you would just love to enjoy basking in the coolness of what you see.

Quiotoa Lake in Details

Being a beautiful lake atop of a volcano, Quilotoa Lake is one the tourists'preferred sites in this region of Ecuador. This caldera was created more 800 years ago when the walls of the volcano collapsed. It houses water rich in minerals and this explains its intriguing green colors. The curious traveler can hire a truck or a bus at the town of Zumbahua that is only 8 miles South and drive to the site. Once at the lake, visitors can tour the area with the help of guides, or. after paying two dollars, walk down to the lake to enjoy the views. It is a half an hour walk. If you want to stay a bit longer enjoying the surrounding landscape, you can stay at one of the hostels in the area, or put up you tent by the volcano. It is a great idea to navigate the lake on a motor boat which can be rented on the premises. This is a great travel souvenir to take back home.
