The Simplicity of St. Peters

The architecture in this magnet looks so balanced that it almost looks like it is a design that was made on a computer. You don't need to be familiar with the site to appreciate the beauty of Saint Peter's church. If you are religious you may appreciate the welcoming profile of the church which looks as though you can walk right into the picture and go up the stairs to it. And it is not only its simplicity that will enamor you with this church, but also the spiritual environment the traveler experiences upon entering. The church breathes centuries of history and it known to be one of the oldest Anglican churches in the Americas. This travel souvenir from Bermuda not only introduces the traveler to the church but also to St. George`s town.

The Oldest English Town on the Americas

Believe it or not, St. George is the oldest English town in the New World, that still survives. For that reason, and its rich architecture has been declared a World Heritage by UNESCO. The town dates from 1612 when the famous Virginia Company was operating on the island. The traveler won't probably want to miss several important forts in town such as Landward Fort, Southampton. Popple, and Smith. It is evident the city`s vocation for defense as the military engineering excelled in improving the prevalent artillery of the time. By all means, this is a great travel souvenir to take back home.
