Acrylic Fridge Magnet Fashioned as Douglas Falls in West Virginia
Situated in the Buncombe County in North Carolina, USA, the Douglas Falls is a magnificent sixty-foot waterfall that mesmerizes all its visitors. The falls are located on a stream of the Waterfall Creek that drains into the Ivy River. The Douglas Falls are enclosed by a huge forest full of Eastern Hemlock trees. Visitors touring the waterfall should take care while walking in the forest as the Hemlock are dead and have the tendency to fall down. You can have a little piece of this fascinating waterfall too in the form of the acrylic fridge magnet shown above.
Reaching the fall
There are numerous ways of reaching the Douglas Falls. If you are in Asheville, you should use the Hwy 19/23 north towards the Exit 15- Hwy 197. You should drive for about six miles until you reach Bernardsville and then turn right on the Dillingham Road. Then you should drive for about 2.2 miles and take the first left and drive for a further five miles until you reach the Big Ivy region. From there onwards, you have to take the road FR 74. You should then travel for about 0.55 miles until you reach the base of the Douglas Falls. You will then have to climb up to reach the top of the falls.
Staying at Douglas Falls Bed and Breakfast
