The Picturesque Site Of Hanalei Bay On The Hawaiian Island Of Kauai, Captured On A Vinyl Fridge Magnet

The beautiful Hanalei Bay on the Hawaiian Island of Kauai is a two mile white sand paradise which forms a half moon shape. The beach is a surfer's paradise with many world champions choosing to go there due to the power of the waves. But it is the beauty of the beach which truly stands out and many people the world over will be familiar with this beauty thanks to the featuring of the area on television and at the movies. Just along the road from the beach is the former Wilcox Estate which featured on television in The Thorn Birds. But the sands themselves are even more famous as the location for virtually all of the beach scenes in the movie South Pacific. It is easy to see why this attractive scenery is a popular filming destination choice by looking at this acrylic fridge magnet from the catalogues of World Wide Gifts.

Visiting Hanalei Bay And Town On The Beautiful Hawaiian Island Of Kauai

Close to Hanalei Bay is the town of Hanalei itself. A pretty and historical town, it is a haven of local culture and art. Waioli Mission House and Church take visitors back in time to 1837 when the house, which was home to Christian missionaries Lucy and Abner Wilcox, was built. The clock which was installed in 1866 still keeps perfect time. The house was restored in 1921 and presents a perfect picture of what life was like for the Lucy and Abner. Outside the house is the old Waioli Huiia Church which was founded in 1834. After seeing this historic site visitors can take in a traditional ukulele concert at the Hanalei Community Centre. And of course visitors can go to the nearby bay as featured on our attractive acrylic fridge magnet.
