Carousel Park - Mecca for Hiking
Carousel Park is located around 38 miles from Philadelphia in Northern Delaware and has been established in an open field above Enchanted Lake. The park is a great place for walking trails. The main trail also known as the Carousel Loop is a 3 mile walk around the circumference of the park. There are around 14 trails in the park through the Sherwood pine trees and open pastures. If you are new to hiking and easy trekking then the Carousel Park is an apt destination, as the trails are well marked and locator map boards are installed around. The Enchanted Lake is a great place for fishing and picnic. Aquatic wildlife is also abundant here. There are some trails that encircle the Enchanted Lake and link the strawberry fields in the backside of the park. Delaware has the lowest average altitude of around 60 feet above sea-level in the United States and it is considered as the lowest state. The area of Carousel Park is about 217 acres and it is located in the northern parts of Delaware in the New Castle County between Newark and Wilmington. The park is open from 8 am to sunset every day.
