Bayard Sharp Hall - A Symbol of Education and Learning
The University of Delaware, founded in 1743, is the largest university in Delaware, United States. This is one of the oldest universities in the nation. The main campus of Delaware University is located in Newark, Delaware; situated mid-way between Philadelphia and Baltimore. This university's concert hall, Baryard Sharp Hall, a white building, had served as Newark's St. Thomas Episcopal Church. Bayerd Sharp hall was one of the twelve recipients of a 2000 New Castle Country Historic Preservation Award. This was the first American University to initiate a study abroad programe.
