The Spectacular Peak Of Mount Gibbs In California Pictured On An Acrylic Fridge Magnet

The snow-capped backdrop of Mount Gibbs in California makes for an impressive sight as captured on this attractive acrylic fridge magnet from the catalogues of World Wide Gifts. The forest and lake that can be seen in the foreground lend their own particular natural beauty to the scene. The Mount itself is climbable all year round although the access route is closed during the winter. Whilst climbing the mountain people may come into contact with the endangered Sierra Nevada big horn sheep that live there. Visitors can travel to this beautiful site just for the day or, with a permit, can camp overnight. Staying longer provides more opportunity to savour the incredible views as pictured on our acrylic fridge magnet.

A Visit to The Area Of Mount Gibbs In California

There are plenty of trails for those visiting Mount Gibbs to hike along. One of these is the Gibbs Lake trail which starts at Upper Horse Meadows. As visitors walk the 2.7 mile trail they travel through pine trees and Gibbs Creek eventually reaching the shores of Lake Gibbs. This small lake is located in the Ansel Adams Wilderness at an elevation of nine thousand five hundred and thirty feet. The majesty of Mount Gibbs can be viewed from the lake. The beautiful peak, which was named after Harvard University professor Oliver Gibbs, is perfectly displayed on our attractive acrylic fridge magnet.
