Fort Smith's Colorful Martial Lineage

The iconic city of Fort Smith is one where many historical battles have been fought. During the American War of Independence, Outlaw forces collided with Hanging Judge Parker's troops in a vicious attack. Later, during the civil war, Fort Smith was the venue for an epic battle waged between the North and the South. Keeping in tradition with its martial lineage, the city is home to the Fort Chaffee military base. Over the years, it has managed to preserve the remnants of its illustrious past in the form of historical sites such as the Butterfield Overland Mail Company and the Trail Of Tears. The Wild West history of Fort Smith is equally significant to the city and is celebrated with great pomp and pelf. The Old Fort Days Rodeo for instance is an annual celebration that pays tribute the legendary gun-slinging cowboys of yore. This acrylic fridge magnet displays a fascinating image of two historical battleships - The Pinta and The Nina docked at Fort Smith Park, making it an excellent memento to relive a memorable time spent in the city.
