Attractive Acrylic Fridge Magnet Featuring Mission San Xavier Del Bac In Tucson Arizona
The strikingly beautiful white building of the Mission San Xavier Del Bac lies eight miles south of Tucson in the state of Arizona. It was founded as a Catholic mission by Father Eusebio Kino in 1692. The current building was constructed between 1787 and 1793 and its purpose to this day is to provide spiritual support to its parishioners. Those visiting the structure can truly feel as though they have taken a step back in time. It is the oldest intact European building in Arizona and still houses many original paintings and sculptures. The mission also has its own school which is not on the same site but which provides a Catholic education to the children of the parish. This lovely old building is a noteworthy sight to be portrayed on our attractive acrylic fridge magnet.
Visiting Tucson Arizona In The United States Of America
Tucson's sunny environment makes it the perfect place to sample the outdoors, taking part in activities such as hiking, golf, biking, and horseback riding. There are levels of hiking for everyone from urban walks to bird watching trails, and from level trails to steep climbs. For horseback riding there are public stables or guest ranches. For those interested in a little less exertion there are plenty of museums and galleries which can be visited on a downtown walking tour; and if people get tired of walking they can ride the Old Pueblo Trolley, an historic electric streetcar. Activity and culture abound in Tucson, including the fine building of Mission San Xavier Del Bac, of course, which perfectly depicts the history of Tucson on our acrylic fridge magnet.
