The Colourful Swirling Peaks Of The Wave In Arizona Pictured On A Vinyl Fridge Magnet
Like swirls of sandstone meringues across the landscape the peaks of The Wave make for an incredible sight. These ancient natural creations are depicted on this lovely vinyl fridge magnet from the catalogues of World Wide Gifts. Although remote The Wave is a popular destination with hikers and photographers. A permit is required to access the site and these are limited to twenty per day. The permits are issued by the Bureau of Land Management which is part of the US Department of the Interior. Not everyone is lucky enough to obtain one of the much sought after permits which are issued via two lotteries but people make numerous attempts to be able to get access to this truly amazing place depicted in full colour on our attractive fridge magnet.
Accessing The Beauty Of The Wave In Arizona
The popularity of The Wave with visitors, and the restriction of the number of permits per day to twenty, means that not everyone is lucky enough to visit when they want to. The permits are issued via a lottery system to ensure fairness. There are two stages to the lottery. Permits can be applied for online and ten are awarded four months in advance of the planned visit date. Alternatively, a lottery, for the remaining ten, takes place at National Monument office in Kanab, Utah. This takes place at 08:30 and the permits are valid for the following day. At peak times, between March and November, as many as one hundred and twenty people per day can attend so most leave disappointed. But many try again several times, attracted by the splendour that can be seen on our colourful vinyl fridge magnet.
