Description

A Castle Like a Toy

One just has to admire the perspective that this magnet provides to gain a true insight into the building depicted in this travel souvenir from Denmark. It looks pretty formidable and it also seems to symbolize refinement. It even has a that castle on a hill look that in turn highlights its peaceful disposition. This isn't just a souvenir of a major attraction, but a symbol for the heritage that Denmark is so well known for.

The image works as an invitation to jump over the wall thanks to the sun hitting on the elaborate moors of the castle. In fact, it feels like it has been drawn on the sky, and that same sky is giving it to us, as a gift. The tall tower climbing towards the blue makes the image even more approachable and, as kids, we are tempted to extend our arm and grab the small statue on top.

Copenhagen's Best Kept Secret

One of Copenhagen best kept secrets is Rosenborg Castle. Built in the early Seventeenth century, the castle is filled with exquisite details that will marvel the traveler. Perhaps the castle most enchanting area is the Long Hall which had several uses, it has served as ballroom and as reception area. The ceilings and walls hold tapestries and sculptures depicting key events in the history of the Kingdom of Denmark throughout the centuries. In this room, there are the coronations chairs of the Danish kings and impressive pieces of silver.

The traveler will have the opportunity admire the permanent collections that include the crown jewels, different objects that belonged to the royal family and the Throne Chair of Denmark. Later, wander in the King's Garden. All in all, this is a great travel souvenir to take back home.
