Large Vinyl Fridge Magnet Depicting Kootenay National Park in Canada

What better way to reminisce about your trip to the majestic interior of British Columbia than with this large vinyl magnet? It shows a beautiful mountain lake surrounded by frost-tipped pine trees, with a blue sky streaked with wispy clouds above. The dark blue waters of the lake reflect the encircling trees back in a very striking manner. Every time you look at this large magnet in your home you'll feel like you're instantly transported back to the rugged beauty of the Rocky Mountains. Haven't been to Kootenay National Park yet? Don't worry, adding this magnet to your collection will give you ideas for adventurous trips to take in the future! The vinyl on which the magnet is printed is durable, so you also don't have to worry about it suffering from wear and tear.

Kootenay National Park: Gem of the Rockies

Kootenay National Park was created in 1920 through a joint agreement between the British Columbian provincial government and the Canadian federal government. Open year-round, most visitors arrive during the summer and early fall. Kootenay is located in the southeast of British Columbia, high in the Rockies; its lowest elevation is nearly a kilometer above sea level, while its highest peak, Deltaform Mountain, is almost 3.5 kilometers tall! Some of Kootenay's more famous attractions include its hot springs; don't forget your bathing suit, because you can swim in them! You can also hike trails through the scenic Marble Canyon and Sinclair Canyon, or visit some of the glaciers higher up in the mountains. There's also lots of wildlife to see-you might even catch a glimpse of a grizzly bear, though hopefully not too close of one! Kootenay National Park is named after the Kootenay River which flows through it and which serves as an important waterway in the interior of British Columbia.
