Classic, American cars can be found almost everywhere in this country. If you get a chance to visit Cuba, you will notice many old cars standing on the streets. This is because long time back, a ban on trade between Cuba and United States was signed. This prohibition on trading objects between these two countries restricted people from buying new cars or even getting new parts for their old cars which is why lots of people make do with their old cars. Moreover, those whose cars do not work display their beauty outside their houses on the streets.

The History of Trading Cars - Cuba and United States
An embargo was placed on trading between Cuba and United States during 1962. Due to this ban, people were forbidden from buying new cars from the United States but fortunately, this prohibition is no longer active. This embargo on trade was lifted sometime during 2011 or according to some sources in 2012. President Raul Castro finished this restriction on trade between US and Cuba; now people in Cuba can buy and sell cars without any difficulty. This is a sigh of relief for inhabitants of Cuba who do not have cars in working condition as they can now purchase brand new cars.
