Meganebashi is constructed over the Nakashima River and suffered from a disastrous flood in 1982. It got severely destroyed in several places and a lot of its stones were washed away by the water. Majority of the original stones were found out and placed back on the bridge during the restoration project of Meganebashi. Another bridge smiliar to the Meganebashi is constructed in Ishaya Park too; it was built on a similar architectural style.
