Venetian Souvenir: Rialto Bridge on Acrylic Fridge Magnet

The magnificent Rialto Bridge in Venice is exhibited on the acrylic fridge magnet that is a nice Venetian souvenir. Being one of the oldest bridges established in Venice, the Rialto Bridge has established a reputation as one of the biggest attractions of the city. It is one of the most photographed structures in Venice and is loved by tourists.

The Spectacular Rialto Bridge in Venice

Rialto Bridge or Ponte di Rialto is often termed as the heart of Venice. The present structure of this bridge was constructed between 1588 and 1591; it is durable and strong unlike the wooden bridges that were used earlier. Rialto Bridge has 24-foot arch that was created on around twelve thousand wooden pilings. Ponte di Rialto was designed by architect, Antonio da Ponte and it has 3 walkways. You can take a water bus or a gondola ride to reach this bridge. In addition, if you are at the train station then you just need to follow the signboards that direct you towards it.

The Gorgeous Grand Canal in Venice

Whenever you visit Rialto Bridge, you should tour the Grand Canal as well. Grand Canal is the biggest and perhaps the oldest canal in Venice. It is over four kilometers long and around 5 meters in deep at certain points. Touring the Grand Canal on a ferryboat or a gondola is among the favorite activities of tourists visiting Venice. A ferryboat leaves every day from Santa Lucia Station and takes visitors to St. Mark's Square. If you want to go on a beautiful sightseeing trip, do take this ferryboat ride.
