Souvenir with a Picture of Hotels in Las Vegas

Las Vegas is one of the most notorious resort cities worldwide known primarily for gambling, fine dining, and shopping. Tourists from all over the world come to Las Vegas to rejuvenate themselves by adding entertainment and adventure to their lives. Due to the hustle and bustle of the city, you may not be able to decide what to take back home to remember the amazing time you had in Las Vegas. An acrylic fridge magnet depicting the hotels of Las Vegas will make you cherish all the moments you spent in Vegas with friends and family. The acrylic finish of the magnet protects it from wear-and-tear over time and gives a glossy appearance.

History of Casinos in Las Vegas

Known as the "Entertainment Capital of the World," Las Vegas is renowned for its coalition of casinos and hotels and other sorts of entertainment including live shows and concerts. However, the most remarkable sites of Las Vegas are the hotels and casinos in the city. The Northern Club (now known as La Bayou) was the first casino in Las Vegas that opened in 1931. The Binion's Horseshoe was one of the most popular casinos in the early days owned by Benny Binion. Currently, the largest casino-hotel in Las Vegas is the Golden Nugget.

Howard Hughes in Las Vegas

Many do not know the connection between Howard Hughes and Las Vegas. Hughes was a businessman, film maker, aerospace engineer, and much more. In 1966, Howard Hughes went for a visit to Las Vegas. There, he stayed at the Desert Inn for two years and eventually bought the hotel after many conflicts with the owner. During his two-year stay in Las Vegas, Howard Hughes bought numerous other hotels and casinos including New Frontier, the Sands, Castaways, and The Landmark Hotel and Casino.
