Touring the Stunning Colosseum and Arches in Rome

When you are in Rome, it is imperative for you to take a detailed tour of the gorgeous Colosseum. The Colosseum is normally jam packed with people especially during the afternoon so it is better if you visit it early in the morning. Its entrances open around 8:30 am and by 9am you can see a large queue outside it. There are elevators in the Colosseum that can take you to the upper levels but normally people prefer walking up the stairs. There are many great triumphal arches in Rome like Arch of Constantine, Arch of Septimus Severus, and Arch of Titus. These are fantastic tourist destinations for enthusiasts of art and architecture.

Best Time to Visit Rome

Climate of Rome varies with the seasons. Spring and autumn are pleasant, summers are hot and parched, and winters are pretty chilly. However, the best time to visit Rome is during the spring and summer seasons. Days are longer in summers and there is not much rain so you can easily go on long sightseeing trips. The only drawback of visiting Rome during summers is that it is jam packed with people during July and August so it will become difficult for you to get a hotel room. Therefore, it is best that you book a hotel room in advance and then visit Rome in July or August.
