What the Coast of Arms Of British Virgin Islands Tell

A coat of arms can tell people quite a bit about the country that it corresponds to. In the Caribbean, they tend to give the impression that it is a place of colors and tranquil landscapes that are great for taking a break from the hustle and bustle of city life. British Virgin Islands are considered by many as the jewels of the Caribbean Sea. It is no wonder as, unlike, their American neighbors, they have not been developed into full tourist resorts. Thus, visitors can enjoy the true Caribbean experience. For example, there are no high-risers and you`ll notice that no building is more than two stories high. Some of the islands are coral formations, however the majority are volcanic formations.

The British Virgin Islands are not Totally British

The islands are part of the British overseas Territory and thus they are not independent and the head of state is the queen of England.

Virgin Gorda, Jost Van Dyke and Tortola, where Road Town, the capital, stands, are the main islands. In British Virgin Islands not everything is about beaches and sea. The travelers can joy the rich culture such the traditional music called fungi which has European and African origins. This music is also important in preserving and communicating the history of the islands to the new generations. All in all, this is a great travel souvenir to take back home.
