Description

Acrylic Fridge Magnet of Haneda Airport in Tokyo

HND is the colloquial name of the famous Haneda International Airport in Tokyo. It is a primary airport that serves the inhabitants of the Greater Tokyo Area located in Japan. The airport is established in Ota that is almost fourteen kilometers towards the south of Tokyo Station. HND is a notable highlight of both, Tokyo and Japan. You will find pictures of the airport printed on lots of different souvenirs including T-shirts, caps and pens. One nice keepsake of the airport is this acrylic fridge magnet shown above.

History of the Airport

The Haneda Airfield was started during 1931 and was set up on a very small piece of land that was located in the southern region of the huge complex of the current HND airport. It was the largest Japanese national airport during that time. The first runway of the airport was expanded to eight hundred meters during 1939 and an additional runway was later added.

More Info about the Haneda Airport

HND handles approximately ninety-five percent of all flights of domestic nature that enter and exit Tokyo. An international terminal was inaugurated at the Haneda Airport during 2010. By 2010, HND had passenger traffic of over 64,211,074 people and this number has increased since then.

It is also recognized as one of the busiest Asian airports and ranks number fifth amongst the most jam-packed airports across the globe. The airport is a main base of Japan Airline and All-Nipon Airways, both of which are prominent local airlines of Japan. HND is also known to be one of the punctual airports worldwide.
